Scheduling Reminder: Students, Friday, January 22nd is the LAST day to add any class to your schedule. Please stop in the counseling office if a change in your schedule is needed.

 

Anyone interested in participating on the shooting team this year please contact Mr. Siewert.

 

Speech team students who have money to pick up your T-shirt today please come to room 400. Students who are setting up for District Speech contest today at 3:30 also need to report to room 400 – room 400 is the conference room behind the teacher workroom. Speech team students also need to check the volunteer schedule.

 

Anybody who wants to order a speech team Tshirt that didn’t get one can sign up on the door of room 116 by the end of the day.

 

Athletics

Any freshman interested in going out for baseball, please see Coach Jablonski in room 118.

 

Coaches vs Cancer United for a Cause T-shirts: Friday, January 29 at the Pella-Pella Christian basketball game, you can support finding a cure for cancer by purchasing a pink Rivals on the Court, United for a Cause t-shirt which the proceeds will go to organizations researching a cure for cancer. T-shirts are available online at www.sportspageteam.com – then under PHS vs PC Coaches vs Cancer. Event code is rivals.  Order deadline is January 25 – no late orders.

 

Results:

  • Boys swim team beat Williamsburg and tied with Grinnell. Isaak Webb placed 1st in the 200 Individual Medley, 500 Meter Freestyle 2nd in the 200 Freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay with Aaron King and Newton swimmers.  Aaron King placed 1st in the 200 medley relay, 50 Freestyle and 100 butterfly.
  • Freshman boys basketball team defeated Dallas Center Grimes and freshman and JV boys lost.
  • Wrestling defeated Nevada and lost to Dallas Center-Grimes.

 

Good luck to:

  • JV and Varsity girls and boys basketball teams as they host Dallas Center-Grimes
  • Varsity wrestling as they travel to Williamsburg tomorrow and JV travels to Marshalltown.
  • Bowling will host Knoxville tomorrow.
