Speech team members need to sign up for a volunteer position during district contest on Saturday, January 23rd.

 

Pella High, your Student Council needs your help. We are planning something special for Winter Formal so if you have any spare time, please fill out the Family Feud survey that was sent out yesterday.

 

Anyone interested in participating on the Shooting Team please email Mr. Siewert.

 

Congrats to the show choirs as they traveled to West Branch this last weekend. Bravo placed 2nd in their prep division.  AcaPella received the following captions: best show design, best costumes, best stage crew, best special effects, and placed first runner-up in finals.  They will both be competing this Saturday at Dallas Center-Grimes.

 

Mr. Fessler’s 5th period Adaptive PE Helpers will meet in Mr. Fessler’s room for class today.

 

All auditorium sound technician students and all students interested in joining PENS (Pella Exploring Near Space) should meet after school in the auditorium today.  Find out how you can apply your STEM education to an actual space program.  Contact Mr. Emmert for more information.

 

Athletics

A girls track meeting for those interested will be held tomorrow January 19 at 7:50 a.m. and after school at 3:25 in room 109. Please plan on attending one of the meetings or see Coach Rasmussen.

 

Results:

Girls and boys basketball teams defeated Oskaloosa Friday night and PCM on Saturday.

 

Wrestling placed 9th out of 14 teams at Centerville on Saturday.  Keegan Poole placed 1st and everyone placed in the top 10.

 

Bowling had the boys remaining undefeated with a victory against Centerville on Saturday. The girls lost due to numbers but played well.

 

Boys Swimming placed 3rd behind Sioux City Metro and Fort Dodge with Isaak Webb receiving1st in 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke. Aaron King and Lucas Warner also placing 2nd in their relays and in the top 5 in their individual events.
