ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Pella High School Jazz Bands on their outstanding performances this past Saturday at the Iowa High School Music Association’s State Contest. All three groups: Jazz 2, A.M., Jazz 2 P.M., and Jazz 1 received a division 1-Superior distinction from the judging panel. Pella is the only school in Iowa, regardless of school size to receive three division 1 ratings at state contest for jazz band! Congratulations all!

All City Speech Night is tomorrow at 7 pm at Pella Christian. Free will offering taken at the door. Come out and see the 88 members of Speech team performing in many categories such as musical theatre, improv and mime.

The bus for State Speech Contest in Cedar Rapids will leave at 5:15 AM on Saturday February 4th. Speech team members should check email for more details.

 

 

ATHLETICS

Attention all athletes who are committed to playing college athletics next year. There will be a signing / recognition day on Wed Feb 1st at 3:30pm in the cafeteria. If you want to be included, please see Mr. Otte in the Athletic Office to rsvp.

The bus for State Speech Contest in Cedar Rapids will leave at 5:15 AM on Saturday February 4th. Speech team members should check email for more details.

  • Wrestling team on placing 3 wrestlers in the Top 3 of the Little Hawkeye Conference – Congratulations to Keegan Poole finishing 2nd and Ashton and Sam Fredrickson taking 3rd in the conference.
  • Boys bowling team on their victory over Bondurant on Saturday!
  •  Boys Varsity Basketball team on their victory over Indianola!
Good Luck to the:
  • 9th grade boys and girls and JV boys basketball teams tonight as they host Norwalk.
  • JV wrestling team as they travel to DCG – Please dismiss the Wrestlers at 3:00 and the bus will leave at 3:15 from the HS bus loop.
