Lunch:

–Homecoming Lunch:

Hamburgers, coleslaw, potato salad, watermelon chunks, carrots, cookies, and a bottle of water or milk

-There will not be any extra ala carte items sold today during lunch

Announcements:

-Thursday Dress up winners: 4th place seniors, 3rd place sophomores, 2nd place freshmen, 1st place juniors

4th = Alex Demuth, 3rd = Ky Drabek, 2nd = Mack Copeland, 1st = Rylie VanVark

-Seniors – please stop by the main office TODAY for a gift from the Copeland family.

-School Pictures will be handed out on Monday in the commons over lunch, please plan on stopping by to pick yours up.  

-A representative from Central College will be visiting during lunch on Monday, September 16th, in the Commons.

-A representative from the US Army will be in the commons to visit with students over lunch on Tuesday, September 17. 

Activities:

-Please dismiss band section leaders and drum line members at 2:25 in preparation for the pep assembly. 

-Congrats to the 9th grade football team on their win over Indianola last night. 

-Congrats to the girls swim team on their win over Des Moines Roosevelt last night. 

-Congrats to the boys and girls cross country teams on a great meet yesterday. The girls placed 1st while the boys placed 2nd. Marissa Ferebee shattered the course record by over a minute and also clocked in under 17 minutes for the first time in school history (16:38.1). The time is the fastest ever 5K recorded among an Iowa High School girl in state history. 

Canaan Dunham broke the 15-minute 5K barrier and ran the fastest cross country race in school history at 14:43.

-Good luck to the varsity football team as they host Indianola tonight for Homecoming. 

-The Homecoming Dance is tonight. Doors will open at 9:30 PM. It costs $5 per person to attend and there is a cash or card option.

-Homecoming apparel is available in the activities office. Please pick up TODAY!
