Students taking the Iowa Assessments on Wednesday are asked to bring a calculator for the Mathematics Test. This needs to be a standard multifunction calculator.  The school will not be providing calculators.  You will not be allowed to used your computer, phone, i-pod or any other electronic device.

 

Seniors will meet at 8:00 a.m. in the east gym tomorrow morning for the senior ski trip.  Bring your own lunch OR money for concessions.  Students NOT GOING are to be in class for the day.

Over 70 PHS students performed Saturday at State Speech in Cedar Rapids. The team ended up with 6 straight “one” ratings, 5 overall one ratings and five “two” ratings. Two groups received All State nominations. “Skid Row – Little Shop of Horrors” is a Non Performing All State Group in Musical Theatre with Caroline Henry, Natalie Henry, Lexi Van Haaftan, Bailee Meyer, Michael Schildroth and Jake Grundey. “First Contact” is a Group Mime entry with Yongyee Yang, Shounam Ches and Jey Ches, and they will be performing at the All State Festival February 20th at the Iowa State Center in Ames.

 

Speech team students who have not signed up for Individual events and want to sign up should see Mrs. Jones today and check email.

Don’t forget to place your order for a Valentine rose!  Mrs. Grubb’s class is selling Valentine roses for $4.00 each.  LAST DAY TO ORDER is  WEDNESDAY!   Deliver it yourself or give it anonymously as a “secret admirer”!   Please stop by room 420 or stop by our table outside the office during 5th period to place your order.  You must pay when you place your order. Roses will be available to pick up on Friday, Feb. 12th after school.

 

Students, please check the office window for your room assignments for the NCRC and Iowa Assessment testing tomorrow.

 

 

 

 

Athletics

There will be no intramural basketball today.

Results:

JV girls Varsity Girls and boys did a clean sweep defeating Knoxville.

Freshman girls/boys/JV boys basketball teams all defeated Newton.
