Announcements

Congrats to both show choirs for their performances at state last night. Bravo brought home a high “2” rating and AcaPella brought home a “1” rating, also receiving a perfect ballot. They will both be competing at West Liberty on Saturday.

 

Seniors don’t forget to turn in your ski trip form and $20 donations are being accepted.  Release forms are available in the high school office. Deadline for sign up will be Monday, Feb. 9th.  Seniors who have signed up and turned in release form will meet in the east gym at 8:00 on Wednesday. Please bring a lunch or money for food from their concession stand.  If you have questions please contact Colin Jones & Jamison Roozeboom.

Speech team students – the bus will LEAVE tomorrow at 4:45 AM, so be on the bus around 4:30 AM. Don’t be late, we must be in Cedar Rapids by 7 am.

Speech team members going to State – stop in room 116 and pick up a goody bag.
Our school wide Poetry Out Loud contest will be held after school on Tuesday Feb. 10th. Stop in room 116 with any questions.

 

Athletics

Due to the snow day our F.C.A. huddle meeting has be rescheduled and will be Monday, February 9th at Coach Anderson’s house. It will be at 6:45 PM and Matt Diehl from Central will be our speaker. If you have any question or need directions please ask Seth Johnson or Garret Jansen.
Dutch swimming fans! Come and support our swimmers as they compete in the District swim meet tomorrowstarting at 12:30 pm at Summit Middle School in Johnston. Our swimmers will be vying for a spot in the State swimming meet next Saturday in Marshalltown. Thanks for supporting the boys in their quest for State!

Results:

Freshman girls and boys and JV boys basketball teams  all defeated Norwalk

Wrestling lost to Oskaloosa with  Austin Bragg, Jake Speltz, Keegan Poole winning for Varsity and Andrew Whitten and Trent Schippers winning for JV.
