Auditions for the Improv Show will be Thursday February 21st and Friday February 22nd before school, after school and during ilearn B on Thursday and ilearn A on Friday. The shows are scheduled for March 21st, 22nd and 23rd. Everyone in grades 9-12 is encouraged to audition for the Improv Show.
Elaine Schippers is our 2019 Poetry Out Loud representative from Pella. She will compete at the State contest on March 3rd at the State Historical Museum in Des Moines.
Yesterday, the Pella FFA Chapter competed at the subdistrict competitions, hosted at Central College. The chapter took 16 members, where they competed in Leadership and Career Development Events. Congratulations to Marie Vander Wilt for a gold rating and advancing to district in Creed Speaking, Trett Langstraat for a gold rating and Individually placing 3rd in Welding, Trett Langstraat, Brandon Ruisch, and John Fetty for a gold rating and being 2nd place team in Welding, Shianne Votava for a gold rating and being an alternate for districts in Job Interview, Shianne Votava, Amber VanGorp and Sierra VanderWeerdt for a gold rating on the FFA Knowledge Quiz, Travis Mitchell with a bronze for Ag Sales, and a bronze rating for the Conduct of Meetings team which included Sydney Davis, Bailey McLaughlin, Olivia DeHann Burch, Ethan Klyn, Grant Rumer, Jayden Jansen and Bradley Vander Wilt.”
Athletics
Attention Lady Dutch Soccer players on Wednesdays starting this week there will be open practice from 5:00-6:00PM at the Middle School gym. All grades are invited. This will take place every Wednesday from this week through March 13.
Boy Tennis meeting will be in Mr. Brandt’s room at 3:30 on Thursday, February 21.
