Seniors meet tomorrow at 7:45am in the East gym.  Please bring money for lunch or a sack lunch.  If you have not turned in your COMPLETED release form you will need to bring it with you, and bring $18.00 to participate.   Snowboarding is an extra $8.00 if you need to borrow equipment.

A reminder that the meeting for students interested in going to Madrid, Spain is today at 5:15 p.m. in room 218. Please, invite your parents to come! Questions: Ask Mrs. Soria.

FFA Member competing in subdistricts today will be dismissed at 12:45pm today.  Bus leaves at 1pm sharp for Twin Cedars.

Seniors – scholarship reminder – the Dollars for Scholars application is due on March 1st!  Please take the time to complete this online process. If you need any assistance, please stop in the guidance office.

Congratulations to all band students who participated in the Perry Band Olympics Solo/Ensemble contest this past Saturday.

35 entries received division I “Superior” ratings while 17 entries received division II “Excellent” ratings.

National Honor Society is sponsoring a Talent Show on March 6th at 7:00 p.m. Auditions to be in the show will be held after school Wednesday, February 26th. You can sign up for auditions today through Wednesday in Charma’s office.

Athletics

Girls tennis will have a meeting  today after school in the study hall, room 113.

Girls Soccer will have a meeting tomorrow after school. Meetings will be in the study hall room, room 113

Boys Soccer will have a meeting Thursday after school 3:30 in the study hall room 113 for those interested in going out.

Freshman boys basketball players please meet Coach DeWaard  tomorrow after school in the locker room to turn in your uniform.

Results:

Boys Swim team at State placed 14th out of 36 teams.

200 Free Relay team of Isaak Webb, Josh Bailey and team placed 8th with a time of 1:38.56 and broke the school record that was set last week

200 Individual Medley: Isaak Webb finished 8th with a time of 1:58.43 breaking a school record set in 1982.

100 Butterfly: Isaak Webb finished 7th with a time of 53.16 and broke the school record set in 1986.

400 Freestyle Relay team of Isaak Webb, Josh Bailey and team finished 14th with a time of 3:18.95 breaking a school record set in 1986.

Great season for the Pella Boys swimming joining with Newton for the 1st time.

State Wrestling with Levi Azinger and Chase Petty winning their 1st round on Thursday, lost in the 2nd round and in their consolation round on Friday. Congratulations on making it to state and to the team on a great season!

Varsity girls basketball team lost in a tough game to Ballard Saturday night in 2nd round of regionals. All the teams did well this year and thanks for all the hard work!

Good luck tonight to the Varsity boys basketball team as they host Washington tonight at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are $6.00 each. Passes will not get you into the game and there are no passes out.Tickets will be available starting at 5:30. We will be hosting the Grinnell/Williamsburg game tonight before our game and we are expecting a large crowd and sections will be labeled for schools.

Pella Student Section will be across from the Pella Bench tonight in the far corner along south wall. There is to be no standing on the bleachers seats.

Girls varsity locker room needs to be cleared out and items needed to be taken out or locked up.
