Congrats to both show choirs as they competed at West Liberty this weekend.  This was Bravo’s third contest in a row to make the finals, beating out many varsity groups and receiving 1st place in the Prep Class!  AcaPella received “Best Band” and “Best Male Soloist–Jarod Martens” and 2nd place in Class 3A and 4th in finals.  Hailey Kowzan & Bryce McCain both received “Star Performer” awards.  Show choirs’ last competition is this weekend at Benton in Van Horne.

The Pella High School Large Group Speech Team had a successful State contest at Cedar Rapids Washington on Saturday. Fifteen groups performed. Two groups received a 2 rating, 4 groups received an overall one rating and 8 groups received straight ones.

Congratulations to:
the JV and Varsity Boys on their victory over Centerville on Saturday!
the Boys bowling team on their victory over Pella Christian on Saturday!

The NCMP swim team had a fantastic district meet on Saturday at Johnston.  Caleb Gaylor just missed state in both of his individual events, but had PR swims in each.  He and Carter Briggs both made podium–Caleb placed 6th in the 500 freestyle, while Carter was 6th in the 100 breaststroke.  Carter and Jacob Nedder were both 6th on the medley relay as well.  Great job, guys!

Good Luck to the Freshman boys and JV boys basketball teams as they travel to Oskaloosa tonight.  Reminder their will not be a B team game for the Freshman team and the bus will leave at 5:00 for the Freshman players and 5:10 for the JV players.
