Do you like to perform?  Do you have a hidden talent that needs to be on display?  Then consider auditioning for the TRUE Pella Talent and Variety Show,  CARNABY CLUB!  Carnaby Club has a 40+ year tradition at Pella High School that is sponsored by the High School Band, Orchestra, and Drama departments. This year’s shows are April 25th and 26th with both shows starting at 7:30 p.m.  Audition Sign-up is on the band hall board and if you are planning on auditioning for the Pella’s Got Talent show at the Opera House, we have been assured that you CAN do both! Sign up today!

Congratulations to the Shooting Team on their performance in trap, skeet and sporting clays on Saturday.  

  • The JV squad of John Vander Werff, Cole Swanson, and Hunter Sheaffer were 1st in Skeet and 2nd in Sporting Clays with the squad of Caleb Reitvelt and Kennedy VandeVoort placing 3rd in Skeet.

  • John Vander Werff and Hunter Shaeffer were 2nd place High Over All in Skeet with scores of 47.

  • The Varsity squad of Kolbie Van Dusseldorp and Cole Siewert placed 2nd in Skeet and 1st in Sporting Clays.

  • Cole Siewert shot a 47 which was 2nd place high over all in Skeet.  In Sporting Clays Kolbie Van Dusseldorp and Cole Siewert finished 1st and 2nd overall with a 46 and a 44 respectively.

Athletics

Early Dismissal:  Boys Golf will dismiss at 2:20 and bus leaves at 2:30.

2014 Football Cheerleading tryouts will take place today.  Learn tryout material today from 6-8 pm in the cafeteria and formal tryouts are tomorrow,Tuesday, April 8th at 6:00 pm in the west gym. Please sign up and obtain a parent consent form from Charma.

Boys Soccer will practice from 6:30 to 8:00 at the stadium tonight but be prepared for indoor practice also.

The Lady Dutch track team ran to a first place finish in Knoxville on Saturday. In spite of a reduced squad due to Prom, the team won 11 events and placed in the top three in 17 of the 19 total events. Check pelladium.com for full results.

Congrats to the Boys Track and Field team on a very hard fought Team Title at the Knoxville Panther Relays on Saturday.

Individual winners: Jordan Pingel in 400 and 800 meters, Garret Jansen in the Discus and 2nd place to:: Cody DeKruyff in Shot Put

Relay Winners:

4×400 Michael Buma, Jordan Pingel, Austin Schulte, Payson VandeLune  2nd place was 4 x 800 with Payson Vande Lune, Isaak Webb, Levi Heschke, Aaron Houtz
