Pella Historical Museum is hosting a Social Media Photo Contest during Tulip Time 2014.! This fun and easy contest is one that anyone with a smart phone can participate in! Stop in the office for more information.

Show Choir auditions coming up in a couple of weeks!  Please see Mrs. Chaplin if you are interested.  Also looking for some band members for the show choirs: trumpet, trap set, saxophone, violin, keyboard & piano.  We hope you can join the team!

Congratulations to the orchestra for receiving a Division “I” rating at the Jefferson Orchestra Invitational this past Saturday!

Reminder to students if you are working during Tulip Time make sure you turn in Tulip Time Work Release form. Form may be picked up in the office.

Seniors:  Please complete the google doc ‘Class of 2014’ in preparation for the senior awards night next week.

Shooting Team

Congratulations to the shooting team at their trap competition at Montezuma on Saturday.  The Varsity squad of Trevor Sterk, Kolbie Van Dusseldorp, Brent VanDerWiel, John Vander Werff,  and Daniel Flahive finished 2nd and the Varsity squad of:  Cole Siewert, Brady Vande Voort, Hunter Sheaffer, Remington Schroder, and Trent Schippers finished 3rd.

Trent Schippers had the High Over All score out of 122 participants.  Brent VanDerWiel and Caleb Rietveld both had top ten finishes.

 Athletics

Early dismissals:  Girls tennis dismiss after 7th and the bus will leave at 2:45.  Boys soccer will dismiss at 3:00 and the bus to leave at 3:10.

There will be a baseball meeting Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM in Room 113 for all baseball players.

Results:

Girls soccer lost to Gilbert and defeated Nodaway Valley and Roosevelt at the Nevada tournament

Boys soccer was runner up to SE Polk at our Tulip Tournament.

Boys tennis was runner up to Fairfield Maharishi at our tournament in a tie-break of games won and all played well.

The Lady Dutch track ran well at the Drake Relays over the weekend with the 4×100, 4×200, and 4×400 all running season best times.
