“The National Honor Society will be starting their spring charity event on Thursday. Please bring in new or gently used socks to donate to homeless people in Des Moines. If you have an extra tent lying around your house, please think about donating that as well! Each pair of socks is worth 1 point and each tent is worth 15 points. The class with the most points will win a SWEET prize!”

 

Last day to sign up for Senior Service Day. If you haven’t already signed up in the office or sent an email to Mr. VanVark please sign up in the office as soon as possible.

 

Athletics

Anyone interested in trying out for Forte, please sign up in Charma’s office.

Tryout Clinic Wed. 22nd 2-4pm in West gym

 

Monday night the Boys Soccer Team will work for tips at Pizza Ranch from 5-8pm.  Have a great meal while supporting a great team!

 

Results:

The Lady Dutch Track team turned in a dominant performance at last night’s Newton Cardinal Invite. The team had 8 first place finishes in winning the 14 team meet. The night was highlighted by school records in the 1500m by Kelcey Blommers and by the 4×200 team of Emily Vos, Makenna Bogaard, Makenzie Gustafson, and Annika Pingel.

 

Great night for the Pella Boys Track and Field team at Waukee against some of the elite 4A programs in the state.  The team finished in 3rd place over all out of 12 teams. 1st places: Garret Jansen in the Shot put and Discus, 4×800 Relay team of Sawyer Burton, Travis Dingeman, Ben Warner, Payson VandeLune  2nd places:  Isaak Webb in the 400, Austin Hill in the Shot put

 

Despite having their best round in two years, the Lady Dutch golfers fell to Norwalk by just five strokes, but topped Oskaloosa by over 50.. Meet medalist was Aanna Roslien.

 

Boys Golf Varsity and JV defeats Dallas Center-Grimes with Corey Elliott as meet medalist. They are 2-1 in the conference.

 

Varsity and JV boys soccer teams both defeated Indianola with Varsity going into two overtimes and ending in a PK shoot out staying undefeated.
