Madison Elementary Kids of Character
Congratulations to these students on being outstanding kids of character!
Madison Elementary recognized four outstanding kids of character at their PBIS assembly on October 16, 2019. Students recognized include Ava Hennefeld, Jack Treur, Saige Pringle, and Emma Harvey. Students were nominated by their teachers for being exemplary students of character in their class. Each student was recognized at the school-wide assembly and received a certificate as well as a yard sign recognizing their accomplishment.
3rd grader Saige Pringle was nominated by Mrs. DeJong, who said, “I can always count on Saige to be doing what she needs to and to follow our school expectations. She is a great friend to her classmates and is a very hard worker. She is extremely kind and always stays positive.”
2nd grader Ava Hennefeld was nominated by Mrs. Zimmerman. “Ava lives by the golden rule of treating others how she would like to be treated. She is very helpful to any and all of the friends in our classroom and will respectfully help them out when needed.”
1st grader Jack Treur was nominated by Mrs. Blom. “Jack is always one of the first students in the class to do the job he is supposed to be doing with a smile on his face. He is a great leader for the rest of the students in our class! He is very willing to help out when asked and is always kind to those he works with.”
Kindergartener Emma Harvey was nominated by Mrs. Ebersole. “I can always count on her to help others in such a respectful, kind manner. She strives to do the right thing and encourages others to do the same.”
The Kid of Character award at Madison is part of Madison’s school-wide PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) System. The program aims to establish and maintain a safe and effective school environment that maximizes the academic achievement and social-emotional-behavioral competence of ALL students.
