Large Group Speech competes

Large group speech competed at districts in Grinnell on Saturday, Jan 21. Twenty two groups performed.  Fifteen groups will advance to state with a Division I rating.  Seven groups received a Division II rating.  Caroline Henry, Natalie Henry, Lexi VanHaaften, and Bailee Meyer prepare for their Musical Theater act.

Bowling Teams Compete

On Saturday, Jan. 21 played Oskaloosa at Excit a bowl.  Results:  the boys bowling team won with 2839 points and the girls bowling team lost with 1939 .

Show Choir Competes

Show choir competed at Dallas Center Grimes on Saturday, Jan. 21.  Acapella placed 1st in 3A and 2nd overall.  Jarod Martens won best soloist.  Bravo won 1st in Prep and 5th overall.

New PHS Wrestling Record

Senior Ashton Messor broke the wrestling record of 59 varsity career pins on Dec. 3 at the Montezuma Invitational. He now holds the record at 62 and counting with most of the season still left. On Saturday, January 7, Acapella placed 1st in 3A and were 2nd runner-up overall at the Des Moines Christian Illumination competition.  Bravo placed 1st in Prep Division.
