Special Education Teacher
  • Student Resources (High School)
I started college in the fall of 2001 as a 40-year-old college freshman.  I like to say that it’s never too late to figure out what you want to be when you grow up!  I am so thankful I took the leap of faith, stepped way beyond my comfort level, and persevered to become a high school teacher.

I began my teaching career at Pella High School in 2006 after graduating from William Penn University in Oskaloosa. I earned my Instructional Strategist II – MD Endorsement as well as Master’s Degree in Special Education from Morningside College in Sioux City.

I am a life-long resident of Oskaloosa.  Between my husband and I, we have four children and 14 grandchildren.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, and read. I’m a US history nut and have visited many Civil War battlefields across the United States.  My husband and I have been to all 50 of the beautiful United States, driving to each one except Hawaii & Alaska.
