Lisa Zylstra

I was born, raised, and educated in Pella. After graduating from Central College, I taught in Chariton for six years. I then moved to the Phoenix area to pursue a master’s degree in American and Public History from Arizona State University. My husband, Brian, and I moved back to Pella in 2000 and I have been teaching 5th grade (the best grade EVER!) in Pella since January 2001. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our two sons, traveling every chance we can, and being active in our church. I have a personal goal of traveling to all 50 states by the time I turn 50. If/when I have free time, I enjoy reading, collecting ideas on Pinterest, and turning my photographs into digital scrapbooks.
