I have been teaching in the Pella Community School District since 2005 and assumed the Co Director of Bands position in the fall of 2011. My responsibilities include: Marching Dutch Co-Director, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band II, Scream Machine Pep Band, Brass Lessons at the High School, and Co-Director of Jefferson Intermediate School 5th Grade Band.

I am a 1996 cum laude graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. I enjoy playing my trumpet, golf, and reading about American history. My wife, Anne, and I have two kids, Kellen and Corynn.
