I graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 1991 with a degree in special education and elementary education. I taught special education in Illinois for 4 years before staying home to raise our 4 children: Joshua, Caleb, Rebecca, and Isaac. My husband, Chris, and I moved to Pella in 2002. In 2006, I started back in the education field as a special education associate at Madison Elementary. I worked there for 9 years while my children were younger and it was a great way to stay involved in the education world. In 2016, I became a Resource room teacher at Jefferson Elementary School.
