Announcements

Students – if you dress up for class points, remember to check in by the temporary wall to be counted.

Financial Aid Night Reminder – Pella High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Night on Thursday, October 6th. The presentation will be very informative for parents and students to learn the many details to filing the FAFSA. Please attend this event in the PHS auditorium at 7pm on October 6th.

 

Thursday Dress Up days –

Tuesday’s individual dress-up winners: 1st = Crysta VanEe, 2nd = Alexa Langebartels, 3rd = Frida Holmen

The seniors had most class participation.

Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the cheerleaders,  will be this Friday starting at 9:00 p.m. or after the football game until midnight.   The  theme is Glowdance (the black lights will actually work!)  The cost is $5 per person ($1 for face paint).  The doors will lock at 11:00 p.m., if you leave, you will not be allowed back in .  If you are bringing a date that is not from Pella High, you must sign up your date up in the office.  Middle School students are not allowed at our dances.

 

Homecoming Dress up days:

  • Seniors – Color Wars (Black)
  • Underclassmen – Color Wars (Juniors = Blue; Sophomores = Red; Freshman = Pink)

Student reminder:  for color wars day: you MUST wear at least three items of your class color to be counted.

 

Athletics

Congratulations to the Aqua girl swimmers last night. They beat Oskaloosa by a score of 72 to 20 and Perry by a score of 68 to 24.

  • Lindsey Blommers was a double champ winning both the 100 fly and the 100 breaststroke, as well as being on two first place relays.
  • Abbie Hill won both the JV 200 freestyle and the JV 100 fly, while Allison Paulius won the JV 100 breaststroke.
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team winning in 3 matches, JV winning in 2 matches and Freshman winning in 2!
Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Cross Country on placing First, Varsity Boys on placing second and JV Girls and Boys placing first at Knoxville!  Awesome Job!!
