Today’s Celebrations:

Congratulations to all of the students who submitted campaign speeches for this year’s student council election.  Seventh grade set a new record with 28 total candidates!  It takes a lot of courage to put yourselves out there for all of your classmates to see – GREAT JOB to all who ran!!  The following students have been selected to represent you this year as a part of student council.  Eighth grade members include Annaleigh Babcock, Ellie Howard, Hannah Kendall, Hailey Kowzan, Grayson Parisee, Jake Schulte, Jack Stratton, and Noah Zeimetz.  Seventh grade members include Abbi Adrian, Ashley Blommers, Faith Diers, Alyssa Geetings, Kaina Geetings, Elyse Kriegel, Travis Mitchell, Isaac Piersma, and Macy Schulz.  **Student council will meet TODAY during both your grade-level lunch periods as well as 10th period in the cafeteria to determine Homecoming dress-up days.

Lunch Today: Nachos Grande or loose-meat sandwiches Lunch Tomorrow: Popcorn chicken or crispitos

Activity Results:

  • Both the green and white 7th grade football teams won against Norwalk on Tuesday.
  • 8th grade football team put up a tough battle, but ended up falling to the Warriors with a score of 14-16.
  • The Dutch Cross Country team took over a the Newton invite Tuesday. Girls finished second and boys ran hard to a fifth place finish. Top finishers were: Whitley Poulter, Caroline McMartin, Hailey Kowzan, Chelsea Jorgensen, Cassie Reed, Ashley Blommers, Camille Dixson, and Faith Diers. Tyler Reynolds, AJ Furr, Connor Gauley, Will Rasmussen, Matthew Nolder, Thomas Gaul, Cody Kime, and Jared Bruxvoort.
  • Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball girls on the serving and teamwork displayed at Newton!  Way to work together, girls!
  • GREAT JOB LITTLE DUTCH!

Reminders:

  • Volleyball tonight! 8th grade will travel to Oskaloosa, 7th grade will play at home.
