Improv will rehearse today after school, and so will the Varsity One Act. The Importance of Being Earnest will rehearse at 2:30. Stop by room 116 if you have questions!

 

Athletics 

All 9th grade boys planning on playing basketball should see Coach Core today.

There will be open gym tonight at 7:00.

This week Garret Jansen will be 1 of 3 athletes that viewers can vote on for Fareway  Student Athlete of the week. Andy Garman will announce the nominees this Friday night (October 31st) at the 10:00 p.m. news on KCCI and the public will have till the end of the day the following Wednesday to vote. You can vote by going to www.kcci.com click on sports then the Fareway  Student Athlete of the week and vote often for Garret!

Students interested in going to watch the cross country team run at State in Fort Dodge on Saturday will be able to get a ride in carpools if you will be at Fareway no later than 6:00 a.m. sharp. Most of the  carpools will stop in Fort Dodge for fast food breakfast before going to the golf course.  Most of the carpools also goes to Hickory Park for dinner after the meet.  Estimated arrival home after Hickory Park is early evening. Please dress for weather if you are riding along and bring money for stops.

If you ordered a state cross country shirts, they will be ready for pick up today after 5:00 at the Sports Page retail store.

Basketball and Wrestling Cheer tryouts will be held Wednesday November 5th at 2:30pm at the Madison Elementary Gym. Please sign up and pick up an information packet on the table by Mr. Otte’s office.

Girls basketball will have a meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:40 a.m. In Coach Garland’s room.

 

Results:

The Pella Dutch football team defeated Fairfield 41-0 and will host Newton Monday night at 7:00 p.m. for the 2nd round of playoffs. Tickets will go on sale Monday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. in Charma’s office. Tickets are $6.00 per person. Gates will open at 6:00.

Volleyball as they travel to Indianola. Game will be at 7:00 and tickets will be $6.00 per person. Go Lady Dutch!

Forte members Macy Nossaman, Jessica Pottridge, Sara Coppock and Elsye Parisee as they compete in the ISDTA State Solo conteston Saturday at Newton high school. It starts at 8:00 am and admission is $5.00
