Senior graduation speakers for the class of 2014 will be Sydney Swanson and Nathan Clabyerg.

Pella Historical Museum is hosting a Social Media Photo Contest during Tulip Time 2014.! This fun and easy contest is one that anyone with a smart phone can participate in!

Stop in the office for more information.

Congratulations to the shooting team at the Knoxville Trap competition on Thursday.

  • Pella had the top two squads and took three of the top four squad positions.  The Varsity squad of Kolbie Van Dusseldorp, Brent Van Der Wiel, , John VanderWerff, Remi Schroder, and Daniel Flahive  finished first with a score of 220. The Varsity Squad of Rebecca Schippers, Caleb Rietveld, Mathis Hutchinson, Alex Killoren, and Jordan Stephenson finished second with a score of 196.

  • Out of 88 shooters, Pella also took the top four individual places and 7 of the top 9 spots with Rebecca Schippers being the top shooter overall with a score of 47.  Both Rebecca and Remi had a 25 straight.

Good luck to the shooting team as they compete at Montezuma and North Mahaska in Trap and Skeet over the weekend.

Join us for Carnaby Club 2014 tonight and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.  Two different shows featuring the excellent talents of our students and faculty will be on display.  Admission is $5 at the door.

Good luck to the orchestra as they travel to Cedar Rapids tomorrow for the Jeffeson Orchestra Invitational!

Show Choir auditions coming up in a couple of weeks!  Please see Mrs. Chaplin if you are interested.  Also looking for some band members for the show choirs: trumpet, trap set, saxophone, violin, keyboard & piano.  We hope you can join the team!

Athletics

Boys soccer should plan on practicing at the complex today at 3:45 but listen for an announcement in case it is closed due to rain yesterday.

Boys Soccer defeated Gilbert 2-0 and JV tied

Boys Tennis as they host Norwalk today-a make up from yesterday’s rain out.

Boys Soccer will host their Tulip Tournament tomorrow at the soccer complex starting at 9:00 a.m. hosting Indianola, SE Polk, Ottumwa, Clear Creek Amana and ADM.

Girls Soccer will travel to Nevada for a tournament tomorrow.

Boys Tennis will host their invitational tomorrow.
