Our District

The Pella Community School District is known for being one of the finest in Iowa.  We are proud of our academic and extracurricular accomplishments. The community of Pella, Iowa, is located in Marion County. Our school district employs nearly 200 certified staff and serves over 2,000 students from Marion, Jasper, and Mahaska Counties. The Pella Community School District operates five school buildings, including the following:

-Lincoln Elementary, grades Pre-K through third
-Madison Elementary, grades Pre-School and K-third
(attendance at either school is based on residential location)
-Jefferson Intermediate, grades fourth through sixth
-Pella Middle School, grades seven and eight
-Pella High School, grades ninth through twelfth
-Career Academy of Pella, grades ninth through twelfth, providing college-credited classes
