I graduated from Simpson College, with a BA in Psychology, and then from the University of Iowa with an MA in Multi-categorical Special Education with Integration, including endorsements in the areas of Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders and Mental Disabilities. I started teaching Special Education in Zumbrota, MN in 1998, and after moving to Michigan and Kansas, finally arrived in Pella in 2009 . My passion is working with students to encourage the highest level of independence that they can achieve!
My husband and I spend our free time with our two beautiful daughters and an incredibly spoiled black lab, named Jazz.
