Jerod Garland

I graduated from Central College in 1999 and loved the Dutch pastries so much I came back to Pella in 2001 to teach in the school district. I have taught subjects from 8th Grade Literature to World Religions to U.S. History in my career here, to name three of the ten subjects I’ve taught. Whatever the subject may be, I enjoy the students and culture of curiosity that exist here. I am currently teaching 8th Grade American History.

My wife Leah works in Hospice care and we have three daughters, Cayla (13), Eliana (10), and Zoey (7). We can’t wait to continue watching them move through our schools in the upcoming years. I love sports, the History Channel, and coaching sports in our district.
