I grew up in Des Moines and majored in English Literature and French at the University of Iowa. After college I worked at Disney World for a year then went to France to teach English for 2 years. I enjoyed traveling and teaching so much that I continued living and working abroad in China and then Istanbul, Turkey. I’ve been to 37 countries so far. I’m endorsed to teach Language Arts, ESL, Spanish and French. I have a masters in Education and completed a second masters in French in the fall of 2015 in Angers, France. I taught French at Denison High School for 4 years and began teaching at Pella in 2016. For fun I like to read, go to Zumba classes and tap dance.
